EXCELL'ICE splints combine the advantages of compression and cryotherapy, which makes them an indispensable ally in supporting and improving patient recovery. Many centres specialising in sports or prosthetic surgery have incorporated them into their post-operative management (RAAC, RRAC, RAC, etc.).
They consist of an immobilisation splint and a system of cold packs that can be inflated using a manual pump. The compression obtained allows the cold to penetrate deeply into the tissues and to optimally adapt to the anatomy of the treated limb. EXCELL'ICE splints are therefore particularly effective in providing analgesia, reducing inflammation and oedema, while helping to reduce haematomas.
